About Me

I practiced medicine as a physician assistant for twenty years, then gave it all up for the financially lucrative world of writing. (ack, gag, ack) But you know, kids, family, aging parents, a dog, a cat, a tarantula, I’m juggling the whole kit and caboodle. Writing keeps me sane. And writing sci fi…well that’s just fun!

When I’m not writing sci fi or dropping balls, I write under a secret name.* Sssh! Don’t tell anyone! It’s boring serious stuff about motherhood, the politics of parenthood, and the dark underbelly of the American school system. I know, boring, right! Where’s the fun in that?

Thus, the sci fi. We must have our simple pleasures in life. They’re too important to ignore. So, have a spicy dumpling, a fun read, a walk in the pouring rain. Hold tight to your simple pleasures. Seek them out and nourish them with love. Hell, make a list if you have to!
